A unique Pilgrimage to Poland which follows in the footsteps of Saint John Paul II. The Pilgrimage includes visits to Krakow, Czestochowa, Wadowice and the Divine Mercy Chapel.

  • 1 suitcase per peron for the air-craft hold, 20kgs.

  • 6 nights dinner, bed and breakfast Krakow.

  • Excursions as per the itinerary including entrance fees.

Day 1

Depart from Stansted airport for the flight for Krakow, on arrival reclaim your baggage & join the waiting coach for the transfer to the centre of Krakow where we will open the Pilgrimage with Mass before travelling to the Hotel where which will be the base for 6 nights on dinner bed & breakfast basis.

Day 2

Today you will be given a guided tour of the city, including a visit to the Bishop's Palace in which the Holy Father Pope John Paul II resided on each of his Pilgrimages to Krakow. The programme also includes entry into St Mary's Church where John Paul II gave sermons and heard confession. There will also be a visit to Wawel Cathedral whereas Bishop Karol he went at Christmas to sing carols

Day 3

Today we travel to Czestochowa (the major Marian shrine in Poland) a town of special importance to John Paul II. He stayed there six times as Pope and chose it as the place for the 6th World Youth Day. It was also the first town in the world whose offer of honorary citizenship he accepted.

Day 4

We begin today by visiting Wadowice where you will see the Basilica of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary on the market square as well as the old building of the secondary school which Karol attended as a teenager. You will visit the Popes family home, nowadays a museum, which documents his life and work as a priest in Poland up till the time when he was elected Bishop of Rome and left the country for good. There will also be time to visit St Peters Church to which the Pope had a close attachment as well as try the famous cream puff cakes - a favourite of the Pope as a child.

Day 5

This morning we will visit The Divine Mercy Chapel in Lagiewniki, where we will celebrate Mass then there will be a talk by one of the sisters. During the afternoon, there will be a visit to the concentration camp Auschwitz Birkenau, we return to Krakow for dinner.

Day 6

This morning we will visit to the Salt Mines, Mass will be celebrated after the tour at in St John Pauls Chapel. The afternoon will then be free in Krakow.

Day 7

Depart after a leisurely breakfast and return to Krakow airport for the return flight back to Stansted.
